We’re already halfway through 2026, the year Parakey turns 12! In the first half of the year, we’ve surpassed 700,000 users across 1,200 happy customers. And since our launch, there have been 100 million (!) unlocks. What else has happened? Well, 👇
Long-Awaited News and Updates in Parakey
📱 The Parakey app has been given a fresh new look with smarter navigation for an even simpler user experience. In addition, you can now be logged in with multiple accounts if you’ve been invited using different email addresses.
🤳🏻 We’ve introduced the option to require users to unlock the door by tap phone against the Parakey NFC sticker at the door or similar. This feature is ideal, for example, for access control points where you want to ensure that the user is on the correct side of the door.

🔋 For Parakey’s battery-powered devices—the Parakey Cylinder, Door Handle, and PDL—you can now select a battery mode to prioritize either a shorter unlocking time or longer battery life.
➕ We’ve expanded our product range with several new accessories—such as vandal-resistant rings, cylinder housings for various mounting options, and a cylinder housing with a long spindle—to simplify design and enable installation in a wider variety of door environments.
Visiting Our Wonderful Customers
Over the past year, we’ve had the opportunity to visit several of our valued customers to learn more about how mobile access has helped streamline their day-to-day operations.
💼Consid has streamlined its administration, enhanced security, and created seamless access between its various offices.
🏢Stena Fastigheter in Malmö has increased the number of properties with mobile access and stated that Parakey makes them a more attractive property owner.
🧑🔬Forskaren, owned by Vectura Fastigheter, was named Stockholm Building of the Year 2025. A building at the forefront of innovation, technology, and user experience—where all doors are opened with Parakey.
A half-year filled with wonderful events
🇳🇴We continue to grow in Norway and kicked off the year at the Låsesmedstreff in Lillehammer together with our Norwegian distributor, Noby AS.
🎈This spring, we brought together the coworking industry for an afternoon filled with trend analysis and discussions about the future of coworking and flexible spaces. If you’re curious about the trends we discussed, we’ve compiled them in our blog.

Participants have had the opportunity to hear insights from Anna Nivala, CEO of Bengt Dahlgren, and Kim Olsson, CEO of Stena Sessan and board member at Parakey, among others.
👩💻Our Customer Success team has launched a series of popular webinars focusing on smart workflows, features, and tips for Parakey Web Portal. The series will continue this fall, but until then, you can watch all the recorded sessions here.
🍁This fall, we’ll be attending events such as SKYDD Stockholm and Coworking Europe in Paris. Follow us via email or on LinkedIn so you don’t miss any opportunities to meet us in person. 🤗
And finally, two closing highlights
👬The team has grown by a full five new colleagues! Alexander Fritz, Sammi Faber, and Christian Johansson have joined the sales team in Gothenburg, while Oskar Wallgren and Gabriele Frattini have joined our core team.
🇫🇮We’ve also taken our first step into the Finnish market in partnership with Storage365, where customers can easily unlock their storage units with the smartphone to Parakey.
