Parakey continues its growth journey and now takes the next strategic step by welcoming Johan Svärd as new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
Since graduating from Chalmers, Johan has devoted most of his professional life to sales and business development. He has extensive experience from a number of roles in fast-growing SaaS companies in tech and adtech, where he has helped build structures and sales organizations from scratch. Johan is passionate about sales and building successful teams that together scale companies in the best way:
"I am passionate about empowering each individual in the team, helping them grow in their roles and creating a common direction where everyone is working towards the same goal."
In each scaleup, the focus has been on creating, together with the founders, a scalable package - ready for quick rollout in Sweden or Europe. Johan will therefore play a key role in our continued expansion as Parakey now gears up both in the Nordic region, but also internationally.
When Johan is not at the head office in Gothenburg, you're likely to find him cheering at a football or handball match - or on the sidelines as a dedicated football coach for his children. In addition to chasing good sales figures, he also chases new travel destinations, aiming to discover at least one new country and a few new cities every year.

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?
Parakey has over the past 10 years become the leading provider of mobile access in the Nordic region where we have over 1000 customers and 600,000 users who open the door with the smartphone. I am most looking forward to continuing to trim and scale Parakey to a leading supplier of mobile access globally. Today we have only scratched the surface of the potential in the Nordic market, so the sky is the limit 🚀 (should also be added that this is Johan's favorite emoji).
If you were a Parakey product, which one would you be and why?
I would easily be our Parakey Cylinder. I am a very adaptable people person who is good at quickly adapting to new situations and challenges, and finding solutions.
What do you consider to be Parakey's greatest strengths as a company?
We often joke that we should change our slogan to 'mobile access that works' - but there is something in it. We have over 600,000 satisfied users who are effectively our indirect ambassadors.
Where will Parakey be in 5 years?
We are an international leader in mobile access - with Sweden as one of our smaller markets. At the same time, we are the obvious choice for Swedish real estate companies, coworking operators and parking companies - both for mobile access and new business models.
Something unexpected about you?
I have lived in Shanghai but can only order rice in Chinese.
