Fully GDPR compliant
Personal data from event logs, for example, are "wiped" after a predetermined number of days. As an administrator, you can decide for how long the information is kept.
Security
Encrypted communication and unique messages
Security is a top priority at Parakey and all communication is two-way encrypted so that no outsider can read the traffic.

The connection between the mobile device and Parakey's servers is encrypted with HTTPS (SSL/TLS), 128-256 bit.

The mobile device connects via Bluetooth (BLE) to Parakey's hardware and the connection is encrypted with AES, 128 bit.

The hardware is completely offline and signals directly to the electrical lock / access control system. For extra security, the SSL/TLS certificate is rotated every 90 days and each hardware has a unique encryption key.
Event logs
See who has unlocked what and when.
Administrator logs
See which administrator changed, invited or sent what and when, as well as events that any integration have performed.
Two-factor authentication in web portal
Users can themselves enable two-factor authentication for logging in to the web portal.
Require two-factor authentication for administrators
Require users with administrative rights to use both password and a one-time code from an authentication app when logging into the web portal.
Biometric authentication when unlocking locks
Require extra identification of users, with facial recognition, fingerprint or the phone's PIN.
User can only be signed in on one device
To increase security, you can only be signed into the Parakey app on one mobile device at a time.

If a user signs in on a new phone, the user is automatically signed out from the previous phone.
Detect suspected account sharing
See if a user uses several different mobile phones.
Adjustable warning and prevention of account sharing
Prevent account sharing by setting the number of mobile phones users are allowed to switch between in a given period.

Does the cost of the service increase the more doors/locks you have? 
No, there is no cost linked to the number of doors.
What is a user?
A user is a person (an email address) in the system regardless of whether they have one or more mobile keys.
What is a place?
A place is a collection of users and doors/locks. A place represents a space or an area such as an office, a region, building, garage or training facility.

By using multiple places, you as a customer can easily distribute the key management to, for example, tenants or caretakers.
How do you know the number of Parakey devices (hardware) needed?

A Parakey device per door / lock you want to control is needed. Which device you choose depends on the door environment and whether there is already an existing access control system or not.
