What is the setup fee, and what is included in each package?
How much does it cost to expand a package to include users, locks, fobs , and access cards?
In addition to the volumes already included, you can expand the system to add more users, installed locks, or registered fobs and access cards. The expansion is purchased in packages of the following quantities:

What is a place?
A place is a collection of users and doors/locks. A place represents a space or an area—for example, an office, a region, a property, a garage, or a fitness center.
By using multiple locations, you as a customer can easily delegate key management to, for example, tenants or property managers.
Locations are not billed separately, but the number of locations affects which package is right for you. The Site package covers one place, the Operate package covers up to ten locations, and the Portfolio package covers an unlimited number of locations.

What counts as a user?
A user is a person with an account in Parakey. That person is considered a user regardless of whether they have none, one, or more digital keys.
What does "lock/device" mean?
It is a connected lock, a door, or another access point that is managed through Parakey.
Are physical fobs and access cards included?
No. The number listed in the package refers to how many fobs and access cards can be registered and used with the service. The physical tag or access card must be purchased separately.
Do the security features differ between the packages?
No, the high level of security and reliable operation that Parakey provides are included in all packages.
This includes, among other things, encrypted communication, ongoing security updates, backups, and two-factor authentication. The packages differ primarily in terms of scope, administration, and integration capabilities.

How do you know the number of Parakey devices (hardware) needed?
A Parakey device per door / lock you want to control is needed. Which device you choose depends on the door environment and whether there is already an existing access control system or not.
