Lots of news in the app, web portal & devices during the first half of 2024

It's been six months since we launched the new Parakey Web Portal and a lot has happened since then, not only in the web portal but also in the app and devices! In this blog post we summarize all the goodies.

‍ParakeyCylinder starts shipping

📦 During the spring, deliveries of our digital cylinder to customers began, and we also had the chance to follow Martin at Lås & security alarm in Halmstad when he installed the cylinder on about 20 technical rooms - in less than 5 minutes per unit!

LEDsindicate different events for Parakey Cylinder and Door Handle

🟢 This summer we also released a software update to the Parakey Cylinder and Door Handle where users get a light indication on the device for different events: green for successful unlocking and red when turning a cylinder or pushing down a handle that is locked.

Schedule unlocks in Parakey Slim

🗓️ Now you can also schedule unlocks of Parakey Slim! The feature is available with software version 2.12.3 or later, which you can update to in a few steps if needed.

Small but powerful features of the web portal

In March, we launched our new web portal, but its development has certainly not stopped since then. For example, this is what has happened:

• Administrators can now rename users (however, it is only changed on the site in the web portal, not for the user) 🧑‍💻
• Admins can also see the number of phones a user used to unlock on a place, as well as the number of unlocks with a specific phone (data from May 21 when the feature was released) 📱
• To temporarily disable all keys on a place site, the site can be temporarily locked down ❌
• Battery status is also displayed for Parakey Door Handle and Cylinder 🔋
• Logs can be filtered based on email address. Go to the logs you want to see, press Filter and enter the email address you want to filter on 📧

At the end of September, the old web portal will disappear completely.

Improved installation flow and in-app tools

As an installer, you will receive additional help and tools related to the installation of Parakey devices such as;

• Calibrate the initial state of the Parakey Door Handle in the installation flow or via the app's built-in tools.
• Evaluation of the position and range of a Parakey Slims.
• Access to more settings during installation with more parameters that fully reflect the process in the web portal, such as setting the "unlock time" ⏳

The roll-out of the autumn news is already underway

We didn't even have time to summarize the development of our products in the first half of the year before the good news kept rolling out. In the web portal, administrators can now also:

• Adding a schedule to multiple keys or locks at once
• Scheduling when users' accounts can start using the site, as well as user removal - long-awaited features 🎉
