Much-anticipated opportunities in new pricing plan

Increasing security by utilizing mobile facial recognition to unlock, requiring two-factor authentication for administrators and sending mobile keys from the app are some of the new features introduced in a new plan.

New features for an extra layer of security

Preventing account sharing

📱 It is already possible to see unlocks users have made with different phones in Parakey Web Portal, and now it is also possible to limit the number of mobile devices users can switch between within a certain period of time - to prevent the same account from being used on different phones. Access from phones beyond the specified number is automatically blocked.

📱It is also possible to receive an alert, on the dashboard or weekly via email, if a user is suspected of using more phones than what is considered normal for your particular place.

Require two-factor authentication for administration in the web portal

🔒 Require everyone who will be administering your place to log into the web portal with both their password and a one-time code from an authenticator app. This can be enabled under Security, a new tab under Settings that brings together these awesome new security features.

Require biometric authentication to unlock

😀 In the settings of a specific key, you as an administrator can choose to require users to identify themselves an extra time when unlocking - with facial recognition / fingerprint or phone PIN.

Another treat - Send key from app

🔑 Allow one or more keys to be sent directly from the app, by users with the right authorization. This allows, for example, residents of apartment buildings to easily give fellow residents access to the premises on which the landlord has installed Parakey, such as laundry room, rental apartment or common room. And for property managers, it will be super easy to send a mobile key on the go, for example to a contractor.

Available in new plan

In conjunction with the availability of the above features, we are also introducing a new pricing model with two different plan, "Core" and "Plus":

• All existing features are gathered in the "Core" feature package. All existing "Parakey Cloud Service" subscriptions now have this package, at the same price as before.
• The new features above will be part of the feature pack "Plus", which in addition to these long-awaited additions also includes all existing features.

In addition to the two feature packs, we are also introducing "add-on" to add additional functionality whether you choose "Core" and "Plus". The first option available is "Integration" which includes: 

• Link to Zapier.
• Integrations built by Parakey (note that "Partner integrations" and Parakey's open API are included in all plan).

One last thing

Choose automatic or manual locking

There is also a new feature in the Core package - the ability to choose whether the Parakey Door Handle, Cylinder and Slim should be locked automatically (as they have been until now) or manually via the app. 

Manual locking is very useful, for example, in conference rooms, if you do not want the door to lock as soon as it closes.
