Unbelievable number of new features during spring 2023

A lot has happened in our products during the first half of the year: including dark mode, "favorites", new functionality in Parakey Slim and improvements in the portal.

Summer is around the corner and a lot has happened in our products during the first half of the year. Support for Dark mode, often unlocked doors are displayed at the top of the app, new functionality in Parakey Slim and improvements in the portal are just a few examples.

⭐️ A property manager in Stockholm has called it our best update ever: doors you frequently unlock appear at the top of the Unlock view and you can set how many doors are shown as Frequently Unlocked

⚫️ The apps now support Dark mode and follow your phone's global settings. 

🚪 Updating the software in Parakey PDL and activating a new door schedule for Parakey Control Unit has become even easier - directly from the Unlock view!

🪫 Speaking of the Unlock view, all users now receive a warning there when the battery level in a Parakey PDL is very low and are then recommended to contact those responsible at the current location for battery replacement.

📱For users with iPhone (iOS 16 or higher), there are now not just one, but two Parakey widgets to open the Parakey app or launch the NFC reader directly from the lock screen.

Smoother app flows for installers

🛠️ As an installer, you complete the installation of a Parakey device in the app, and now you can do it directly from the Unlock view! Under a new door's name, it says that the installation needs to be completed in the app and you can now do it by just tapping on the door's name and following the instructions in the app.

🙌 Speaking of tools for installers in the app, we have also simplified the flow of adding a door via the app.

Beta portal in constant development

🖥️ The beta version of our Next Gen Portal is continuously developed, during the spring we have for example updated the flow for creating and sending keys, creating door and key schedules, inviting users and adding doors

⚡️ Soon it is time for the new portal to become the standard interface for administration in Parakey. Are you an administrator but have not started working in Beta? Try it! You can reach it by clicking on Try new Parakey Beta at the top right when you are logged in to the portal.

New software for Parakey Slim

🆕 With the latest software for Parakey Slim, doors with Slim installed can now be kept unlocked for a longer time than usual (manual door setup). Allowing a door to be kept unlocked is done by an administrator in the settings for the respective key that goes to the door.
