Not many steps from Lund C is Wihlborg's property Sockerbiten . The building was completed in 2019 and the real estate company has implemented digital access to all spaces in the building.

In the spring of 2020, Parakey and Wihlborgs Fastigheter signed a framework agreement to enable large-scale rollout of mobile access in the real estate company's portfolio. One of the first properties in the portfolio to be enriched with mobile access from Parakey was the newly built office property Sockerbiten. It houses, among other things, Lund's municipal parking company, LKPAB, which also uses Parakey for its customers and parkers.

Digital access to all doors - fully GDPR-adapted

When you arrive at Sockerbiten you are immediately greeted by mobile access. The front door, as well as elevators, garage doors and tenants' individual office doors are digitized and opened via the Parakey app or by "tap" the phone against the NFC sticker at the door.

In accordance with gdpr, responsible administrators at Wihlborgs only see which people pass through the shell protection and the office tenants manage their own staff's access.

Tenants manage their own access management

Wihlborgs thus delegates key management to its tenants, using what we call sub-locations. In Sockerbiten , a sub-locations place corresponds to a tenant's office, for example LKPAB's office where the parking company itself manages who has access to their premises including the shell protection.

By only managing the set of tenants in Parakey Web Portal , Wihlborgs has minimized its access management, while retaining full control over passage through the property's perimeter protection.

Temporary access

Contractors carrying out work in Sockerbiten can easily get temporary access to the property when they need it. In the web portal, it is very easy to set a time restriction on a user's access, and you then avoid the extra administration involved in lending (giving and getting back) a key or fob temporarily.

A time limit can also be set on a tenant's access: if you know as a landlord what date the rental agreement ends, associated access can also be set to expire after the agreed period.
