Even smoother access management with Parakey's new Web Portal 🎉
The next generation of the Parakey web portal is finally ready to replace the old web portal! In this blog post, we go through everything that has become easier, greater-looking and better in the digital key factory.
Web portal in Swedish and extra secure access management with two-factor authenticationÂ
We have listened to our dear customers here in Sweden - Parakey Web Portal is now available in both English and Swedish! You can easily switch languages in your account menu 🇸🇪
As an administrator, you can also add an additional security layer and enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for logging into the web portal.Â
New menu and dashboard
The menu has been expanded and moved to the left. For those of you with sub places there is now an overview of these in a separate page that you can access via the menu. There you can both filter on place categories and sort by hierarchy. The dashboard has also become easier to overview, with statistics for both the place and its sub places, as well as a feed with any actions that should be taken, such as battery changes or adding contact information 📊.
Doors have become Locks
Parakey is used for so much more than just doors. Therefore, what was called Doors in the old web portal has been renamed Locks. You can specify the type, e.g. whether it is a door, garage door or elevator and easily see which model of Parakey device is installed🚪.
Easier to invite or import users
"Invite" and "import" users have been separated and you can now directly assign users an admin role in addition to simultaneously sending one or more keys. We've also improved the emails that go out to new users, administrators and installers to make it even easier to get started.
It has also become easier to filter users and "inactive users" is now available as a filter preset. In addition, what was known as tags in the old portal has been replaced by custom fields to add customized information about users, such as company or department.
Scheduled unlocks and restricting keys
New in the menu is also Schedules. Here, schedules for both scheduled unlocks and restricting keys which replaces what was called Security level in the old web portal, i.e. during which days of the week and times a key can be used.
Schedules for scheduled unlocks can be applied to multiple locks and schedules for restricting keys can be applied to multiple keys. It is also possible to add exceptions: date (and time) when it should not be unlocked and when a key should not be able to be used. Very useful for holidays 📅.
New workflows, overviews and detail views for users, keys and locks
The workflow for creating and sending keys and adding locks has been updated and the detail views for specific users, keys and locks have been restructured. In the views for users, keys and locks, you can choose what information to show in the columns, e.g. when users were invited, when a key is valid or if there is a schedule on keys and locks.
In the overviews it has also become easier to select and manage multiple users, keys or locks at the same time 💥.
