Hello Mikael Fredling, Station Manager at Swedish Sea Rescue Society in Stenungsund👋 You have now had mobile access from Parakey installed for just over a year, how is it going?

It has gone very well from day one! Quick to both install and get started with mobile access for our 40 volunteer sea rescuers and invited guests. We very much appreciate systems that do not require training or a manual to use!

How do you see the reliability of using the mobile phone as a key in such a socially important function as the Swedish Sea Rescue Society?

Reliability is paramount to our operations, from the condition and status of our boats, our volunteers' equipment to how we unlock our station house. At security alarm , our crews have 15 minutes to leave the dock with our boats, and with Parakey we can now ensure that everyone in the crew has access to the station house and can quickly open it with their cell phone, which has been done more than 5,000 times so far.

You were one of the first to start using Parakey PDL (Professional Digital Lock), what do you think of the professional digital lock?

We have Parakey PDL installed to our attic and weather exposed conference area upstairs. Installation was done in minutes without damage to the door, it was just to replace the existing lock case. Works great and everyone is happy with the lock!

RS Stenungsund is one of the Swedish Sea Rescue Society's 73 rescue stations and is located at Norra hamnplan in central Stenungsund. The station was established in 2005, when both the Swedish Sea Rescue Society and the Swedish Maritime Administration's sea rescue organisation in Gothenburg felt that there was a need for a sea rescue station in Stenungsund. The station's operational area is from Älgön in the south to Björholmen in the west and Ljungskile in the north.
