Parakey raises 28 million - gearing up to meet demand
PropTech company Parakey is gearing up - raising new capital to continue to grow, innovate, digitize and revolutionize both the security and real estate industries.
Before the summer of 2022, Parakey carried out a directed share issue in which Kim and William Olsson from the Stena sphere, the ice hockey profile Mikael Samuelsson, and Henrik Garvner from Signup Software joined as investors. Several existing owners - including Tham Invest, Green Group, Vätterleden Ventures and Bassholmen AB - defended their holdings. In total, the capital raised amounts to SEK 28 million.
"It's wonderful to see our owners', our customers' and the market's faith in our solution! Now we will continue at full speed ahead to meet the strong demand for mobile access. We will become more in the team and launch several new products and functions to repeatedly revolutionize the market and make it easier, faster and more cost-effective to digitize doors and properties with mobile access", says Parakey's CEO and co-founder Jonas Arvidsson.
Parakey will make its next major product launch on 16 September when it presents the world's smallest access control system at Space Arena in Stockholm. The next big launch will take place on 25 October during the SKYDD security fair at Stockholmsmässan.
Parakey currently has over 1000 customers, including several of Sweden's largest real estate companies such as Wallenstam, Corem and Fabege. The mobile access platform has over 280,000 unique users at the time of writing and the number of users is constantly increasing. During the summer alone, 30,000 new users have started unlocking doors and gates with their smartphones.
With the help of the new capital, Parakey will now grow further and take more market share, but also grow in new markets.
"We entered the Norwegian market at the beginning of 2022, but now it's time to step up the pace further, both in the Nordic region, but also in other international markets. Several countries in Europe are at the forefront of digitalization and we frequently receive requests for installations outside Sweden," says Jonas Arvidsson.
