Parakey creates maximum joy of living at IOFFICE
Emma Lööf Björnram from Parakey together with Homan Tehrani, CEO of IOFFICE.
The coworking operator IOFFICE has rented out offices and conference rooms to small and medium-sized companies since 2007 and used mobile access from Parakey since 2022. Today, they have several business premises in Stockholm and will also establish themselves in Gothenburg in 2024. We got the chance to talk to the entrepreneur behind the company, Homan Tehrani, to hear more about their experience of Parakey and his thoughts on digitization.
Parakey's Emma Lööf Björnram asks Homan why they have chosen to digitize their facilities and he says it is due to several aspects. Previously, they used physical fobs and keys at their facilities but found that it started to become very difficult already a few years ago when they were only 1000 members (today IOFFICE has almost 3500 people moving in their various premises). Their buildings had different access control system and several members lost, or forgot to return, their keys and fobs.
"It was really hard. the smartphone It felt like the obvious choice," says Homan.
IOFFICE continues to grow rapidly with more and more members. They therefore value flow, customer experience and security very highly. Access to their facilities should be smooth, but the customer should also feel confident that no unauthorized persons have access: "We have full control over who enters the premises."
Homan also emphasizes the value of reducing costs and administration. He says that they are developing their own app for members where all management of the membership is handled. They have also linked the app to Parakey, which means that a member automatically receives a mobile key as soon as a membership is purchased. And in the same way, the key expires as soon as the membership is terminated.
"Minimum administration, maximum..." says Emma.
"Maximum joy of living" adds Homan and laughs.
Furthermore, Emma asks why IOFFICE chose Parakey as supplier and Homan explains that they did not find other alternatives on the market that met their requirements for what a system for mobile access and digital access management should provide. He says that they first tested another system, but the user interface did not live up to their expectations, neither from an administration nor a user perspective:
"We realized early on that it would be very difficult to implement the second system for many users. It wasn't really made for that. But Parakey was."
Homan also mentions that it was an economic issue, as well as a matter of good cooperation: "We can communicate well with you and we get feedback very quickly. We feel this closeness."
Finally, we get a trend and future prediction from Homan, who believes that the workplace of the future will be more digitalized and that virtual meeting places will become increasingly common. At the same time, he believes that the physical office will develop in parallel, but with higher demands for adaptation and adaptability:
"So a space can be turned into a lot of different things with very simple means."
He believes that the coworking segment is facing increased challenges as it grows, and that digitalization is needed to meet customer needs. Many people work partly from home at the same time as rental costs for premises go up, which leads to an increased trend of sharing spaces with each other in the form of coworking. And in this development, physical keys and fobs are not sustainable, says Homan. Of course, we can't help but agree.
Because who doesn't want to experience the maximum joy of living?
