Parakey and Robust start collaboration to offer doors with digital locks

The mobile access company Parakey and the door manufacturer Robust start a strategic collaboration where a complete digital door environment will be offered to customers. The doors will be equipped from the factory with Parakey's new professional digital lock, Parakey PDL.

Prior to the launch of a brand new fire door, Robust saw great value in being able to offer the door together with a digital lock. Parakey and Robust are now starting a collaboration to deliver doors digital and ready, enriched with Parakey PDL.

Parakey's professional digital locks and Robust's upcoming fire door have together been fire tested by RISE, with very good results.

"Being able to now offer Parakey PDL pre-assembled in door from Robust directly from the factory is already in demand by our joint customers, and an important part of the transition to digital door environments. We look forward to a close and developing collaboration with Robust to exceed our customers' wishes!" says Jonas Arvidsson, CEO of Parakey.

"It's great that you can get a door with a digital lock that meets the requirements for fire safety while you can unlock with the smartphone and easily share accessibility with, for example, craftsmen. We also see a great advantage in that Parakey PDL - even though it is digital - looks like a regular lock. The new fire door will be put on the market in spring 2021 with Parakey PDL as an option and Robust is already starting to test the lock in other doors. In the long term, it can be offered with more doors in Robust's range.
