Mobile keys from Parakey at Space: "It just works!"

Parakey is a proud partner to Space, owned by Pophouse. At Space, over 200 doors are opened with mobile keys from Parakey. In a really cool video (if we may say so ourselves), Victor Fredell, Group Chief Information Officer at Pophouse Entertainment Group, tells us about Space and how Parakey is used there.

Let's start from the beginning, what is Space?

"[...] We fill up the fifth Hötorgsskrapan with 7500 square meters of joy: work joy, after-work joy and during-work joy. We have here the world's largest e-sports center, more than 400 computers where you can create, but also consume digital joy", says Victor.

"We also have a tribute to Tim Bergling, better known as Avicii, the Avicii Experience. We have an arena and lots of other venues that are perfect for meetings and events. We have more than 200 connected doors that we control and know exactly who goes through when, where and how... And the keys are, of course, digital keys, because we chose at an early stage in this building to not go for all that belongs to the old, but instead the new, by using a modern access solution that is mobile."

With Parakey, you unlock with an app and avoid physical keys, fobs, cards and codes. But above all, it simplifies key management. From Parakey Web Portal it is as easy to send one as thousands of mobile keys, to one or thousands of users. Victor fills in:

"And from a smartphone we can share a mobile key, or several mobile keys with our customers, with our temporary guests for a day, or with our employees. Because some people are going through all 200 doors and some people are only going through one door. That's what's so exciting, that it works just as well in this system, it's dynamic enough so that you can work both the small day event or a whole working life with us in Pophouse or Space." 

Pophouse has several offices in Sweden, but also around the world and Victor says that "On all our sites, no matter where they are in the world, we will have Parakey."  

"It means that when the people at Pophouse who are in London come here to Stockholm, they automatically get in everywhere. And when I'm in London, I don't feel like I have to knock at our own office, but can instead just walk straight in."

In addition to sending keys from the Web Portal, you can also automate key management by connecting Parakey with other products and services, such as property or booking systems. 

Space is also testing a different way of sending keys that will be available as an add-on from Parakey:

"With just a few small clicks, I can send the key directly from the app, and I don't have to go into the admin tool to send the key to a new user." 

But does Parakey really work as well as Victor says?

"I try to find errors all the time," says Victor. "But it's hard! It's for real. And it's great to be able to say that. Because, it's so simple, so the handling error is not there, by the users. It's very intuitive, we don't need to teach, we don't need to put new employees on courses to understand how it works. And that part alone is exactly how it should be in today's society - it just works!" 

And so it is with Parakey. Parakey ensures that the right person, at the right time, has access to the right locked space with the mobile phone as a key. With the right permission, you should always get in. At the same time, it is intuitive, secure and reliable to use and administer and just as easy and fast to install.
