Workplaces & meeting rooms on demand with Respaces
Respace founding duo Jeanna Lundberg and Oskar Gellerbrant.
The partial return to the office with more opportunities to work from home than before has increased the need for flexible office solutions, renting out unused space space, but also finding a workplace or meeting room for the day. With sustainability and digitalization in focus Respaces makes it easy to find a solution that suits your needs.
The corona pandemic changed the way we work and the way we use office space. Respaces is a digital marketplace for finding a customized office solution whether you need a meeting room, an individual workplace or a new headquarters. With Parakey installed where you rent a space you get easy access with the smartphone as a key - a completely digital flow where you find a vacant space via Respaces, book and get a key in the smartphone. Higher and better utilization of spaces, simply put!
We got the chance to ask three questions to Respace's CEO and co-founder, Jeanna Lundberg:
Tell us about Respaces. Why was the company founded?
Today, it's hard to remember that the possibility of working from home and flexibly was something that wasn't even on the map for the vast majority of companies just three years ago. It was 9-5 in the office, five days a week, that was the norm. As a result of the pandemic, we have seen the office norm change to a hybrid model, and there is no longer a one-size-fits-all solution, but companies want to tailor to their needs.
As the need for space has changed, property owners and other occupiers have also had to question why so much of the space is unused, and what huge opportunities there are to establish new revenue streams by packaging space in new ways.
Respaces was born as a solution to these two problems. We make it easy to find customized office solutions while using space in a more sustainable and efficient way.
What trends do you see when it comes to digitalization and sustainability?
Although the real estate industry is still lagging behind, the development has been strong in recent years in both digitalization and sustainability. When it comes to digitalization, much has happened in everything from digital keys, real estate data collection, rental of objects to customer offers. When it comes to sustainability, we see everything from energy efficiency and recycling to sharing of resources.
In short, both a focus on digitalization and sustainability have become a hygiene factor rather than a differentiation.
What is the workplace of the future?
The workplace of the future is tailored to the individual needs of companies and people. We will see many different solutions, from standard offices to full flexibility where employees can choose how and where they work. Providing attractive office solutions will be the key for companies to attract and retain talent.
